I woke up at the WRONG point in my sleep cycle this morning. The result is that I basically remember the dream that was going on at the time, and frankly it was BIZARRE. I watch a LOT of TV, and characters from various (completely incompatible) shows were running around in it. To give you a taste, Sam and Brittney (Glee) were trying to make Chocolate Chip Cookies in the back yard, but they had melted the butter so the chocolate chips all melted and they were running around with this big bowl of chocolate goo. At the same time Brody (Homeland) was seducing me (successfully, I might add) in the house from the first season of American Horror Story (no latex suit, however) while the ghost of Billy (Supernatural) stood with Cas (also Supernatural) watching and making snarky comments that Cas didn’t understand. There was a LOT more to it, but that should give you a taste…..
The point is that, therefore, I should be forgiven for wearing what I think might be a repeat (not to mention the still damp hair). It was some time ago, and not a full length picture because I was still doing them in my office, but a repeat nonetheless. Ah well.
- Brown Knit Jeans (Coldwater Creek)
- Brown tank (J.Jill)
- Cardigan (Coldwater Creek)
- Necklace (Forever 21)
- Josef Seibel Shoes (TJ Maxx)
- Sunglasses to cover the dark circles from waking up badly (Goggles4U)
- Purse that is sitting on top of the car rather than on my arm where you can see it (Brahmin that I got for a steal off eBay; see picture below – link is to an auction for the same model)
In the category of loving lately, I am thoroughly addicted to pinterest and can see myself spending all my winter break trawling that site. What I need to do is combine that with taking the time to put on and photograph the outfits it inspired so that I can get a bit ahead of this blog. When I say I wore something today, I really mean today. Not even yesterday. Today. And that makes it more than a little bit challenging when the morning doesn’t get off to such a great start. PLUS I need to start dealing with the cold and riding my bike to work, which requires that I pack my stuff the night before. I haven’t done well at that lately, so I need the flexibility offered by having a few outfits tucked away….
You may be pleased, however, to hear that I think I might have enough purses. For now. I’m sure that will have worn off by spring. I am LOVING the one I have today, however. I mean really; it goes with EVERYTHING (black body, brown trim), is deep for shopping, big enough to carry what I need, long and adjustable straps so that it hangs at the right spot, and yet not so large that I feel like I’m carrying my whole life around with me. Perfect for the christmas shopping I need to do after work!
