Case in point; I took probably 30 pictures of myself this morning and didn’t like any of them. I finally got a desk shot that I didn’t hate. I am usually quite picky about the pictures I will post and, since I don’t have a photographer to do the picture taking, it can quickly turn into a vicious cycle. (I love my husband and he is brilliant at MANY things. Photography is NOT one of them.)
Anyway, it’s friday and I had to drop my car off at the shop and then ride one of my bikes the last 3 miles to work. Not long enough to suit up and shower when I got here, but long enough to get thoroughly warmed up. The result was that I wore lower key clothing that wouldn’t show if I got a little sweaty on the way to the office. Oh, and the “artfully tossled” (read: air-dried) hair.
Black tee (OLD), Jeans (Coldwater Creek Knit Bootcut Jeans; what else?), a lovely red-toned cashmere cardigan from J.Jill (at least 3-4 seasons old), a silver and stone necklace by my artist friend, and a new pair of black Josef Seibels that i got on clearance from Sierra Trading Post. (These were purchased to replace a pair that I had walked the soles off. Seriously. There was a hole in the bottom.) And my Modcloth bag because I was too lazy to change it last night.
Since I just found out that it is going to cost upwards of $600 to fix the stuff on my car and get it back out of hock this evening, I will probably have to curb some of my shopping urges until my next consulting check comes in (a couple of week), but that’s ok. I LOVE my car, it’s a convertible, and this time of year in AZ is clearly convertible season.
