OOTD: September 24, 2012 Visible Monday

I woke up this morning a little tired; last night was one of those tossing and turning evenings where I never did seem to get to sleep for more than an hour at a time.  So I decided to wear something bright to wake myself up.

The dress you’ve seen before; Roaman’s A-line Crinkle Maxi in Magenta.  Still a favorite for making myself feel good due to clinging in all the right places and NOT clinging in the wrong ones.

Over that I pulled out the brightest single garment I own; a Lane Bryand peacock-print sweater from a few seasons ago.  I love this silly thing for all the great colors, including shots of the same magenta, along with that blue that I am loving this season.  It also has black, so you will likely be seeing a lot of this cardigan this year.  I went looking for similar items and found this gorgeous one from Talbots (cashmere)  that I am considering blowing this week’s spending money on.

The necklace came from charming charlies, and while it is mostly plain gold, it has cute little blue owls on it as well.  (Owls are my thing….)

The underlying idea about this outfit was that I wanted bright, happy colors and pattern; something to wake me up and make me feel good on a not-quite-fall-yet monday morning.  Did I succeed?
